Sevket Dirican
Rapper und Sänger

Sevket Dirican, known as Chefket, is a rapper and singer with Turkish roots. He started out in his hometown Heidenheim with a group called Nil and moved to Berlin in 2006 where he entered numerous freestyle battles. His first album “Einerseits Andererseits” was released in 2009. To no one’s surprise Chefket was nicknamed “Germany’s biggest wagging finger” – he doesn’t shy away from unpleasant issues: Integration being the matter closest to his heart. For this, he was touring through Europe aiming to stand up for Germany’s diverse cultural scene. With his latest album “Alles Liebe” he proved that hip-hop can work beyond stereotypes. No swear words, sexism and violence. Only love – Alles Liebe. And created his own genre. An advocate in between cultures who’s understood the power of hip hop.
